From the first sign-up to a full creative portfolio — here's what the journey looks like.
A parent or guardian signs up first
Every account for a student under 10 starts with a Family Sponsor. The parent creates the account, sets content preferences, and approves their child's access. No child account is ever created without parental knowledge.
Your child picks their Foundry Areas
Students choose the creative disciplines they want to explore — from Idea Lab and Tech Corner to Science Explorer and Leadership Hub. They can switch or add areas at any time.
They learn, build, and create
Interactive lessons, hands-on activities, drag-and-drop exercises and real project work. Every session earns XP, unlocks badges, and adds to a growing portfolio.
Progress is celebrated
Achievements, level-ups, and skill badges recognise real effort. Parents can see everything — a live dashboard shows time spent, XP earned, and content explored.
The portfolio grows with them
Everything a student creates — projects, badges, certifications — lives in their personal portfolio. It's theirs to keep, share with teachers, and be proud of.

What age is The Young Foundry for?
Students aged 6 to 16. Content difficulty adapts to the grade level a parent sets for their child in the parent dashboard, and can be updated as they grow.
Is it free?
The Young Foundry offers a few paid plans — including one built for families with multiple children — and every new account starts with a free 7-day trial so you can explore before you subscribe. You can also try a taste of key features — sample concepts, practice content, and select games — without creating an account at all.
How do you keep it safe?
Every account for a student under 10 requires Family Sponsor approval before it's created. Parents also approve any friend connection between students before messaging is possible, and every chat, post, and comment is automatically screened for safety — with a human team reviewing anything flagged. There are no public follower or like counts anywhere on the platform.
What devices does it work on?
The Young Foundry is a web platform that works on any modern browser — desktop, tablet, or phone. We recommend a larger screen for the best learning experience.
Can teachers use it too?
Not yet — The Young Foundry today is built around families, for parents and their children. A classroom experience for teachers is on our roadmap.
